  • Task Analysis (Breaking Skills into Steps)

Complex academic tasks such as solving a math problem, writing a paragraph or writing an email are broken down into smaller, teachable steps. Each step is taught sequentially until the learner learns all the steps.

  • Discrete Trial Teaching (DTT)

Skills like letter recognition, sight words, reading or number identification are often taught using structured teaching trials that include a clear instruction, the learner’s response, and immediate feedback or reinforcement.

  • Incidental Teaching (IT)

Group classroom sessions teach a wide range of subjects including – English, Phonics, Math, Mental Math, Environmental Science, General Knowledge, Computer, Writing Skills alongside Art and Crafts with full fledged curriculums prepared and renewed each year. ACE supports children on the spectrum transitioning to mainstream education systems, and till date effectively transitioning numerous children into inclusive educational settings, showcasing success in preparing students for mainstream integration.

Yes, comfort and ease are the first steps of gaining interest and attention of our students. Ensuring they are sensorily regulated and ready to learn our classrooms are wide, spacious and customised as per their needs to reduce any sort of overstimulation. Alongside, keeping student sensory equipment and spaces available, providing movement breaks in between classes and seeking required support from the Occupational Therapy team, an integrated system is formed.

The group classroom structure offered consists of a Lead Teacher who is the main teacher teaching and taking class while students are assisted by Shadow Teachers behind them. Each of the two students are assisted by one Shadow Teacher while the Lead Teacher takes the whole class.

1:1 sessions allow learners to explore and establish a safe relationship with therapists that allows the learning process to be swift, accommodative and fun. With focus solely on the learner, development of skills such as attention, focus and other pre-requisites for academic skills are ensured.
